The Coach House Bishop's Castle

The Coach House is in Bishop's Castle, just off the main square. It's a two-bedroom place for four people. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, no frills.

The garden at the back is fully enclosed. There's a gate that opens directly onto the car park of the local pub. It's handy, but you might hear a bit of noise from there on a Friday night.

Inside, it's fairly compact. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom with a shower. The stairs are pretty steep, it's an old building.

The town has everything you'll need: a couple of small supermarkets, a butcher, a few good pubs. You don't need to drive for basics. For walking, you can step straight out onto the Shropshire Hills. The Shropshire Hills website has good maps.

If you want to explore, Ludlow is about a 25 minute drive. Clun and Montgomery are closer. The Long Mynd and Stiperstones are within half an hour for proper hill walks. National Trust Shropshire has a few places nearby, like Carding Mill Valley.

Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, a washing machine, bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car. Sorry, no pets.
