The Old Milking Parlour is on our farm in Asterton. It's a barn we converted a few years back. It's detached, so it's just you.
It's for two people. One bedroom upstairs, a kingsize bed. The shower room is up there too. It's been done to a good standard. It's warm, and there's underfloor heating downstairs.
Outside, there's a little enclosed patio with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the evening. You can park right outside.
We get a lot of walkers and cyclists. There's a proper heated store for bikes if you bring them. You can step straight out onto the Shropshire Way from here. The Long Mynd and the Stiperstones are right there. For something different, the gliding club is over the hill in Church Stretton.
The village of Wentnor is about a mile away. It has two pubs and a shop. Church Stretton is about a 15 minute drive. Ludlow is maybe half an hour, for the market and the castle.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a kitchen, a table, and a sofa. TV, wifi, washing machine. All bedding and towels are included. It's a working farm, so you'll see us and the sheep about. No pets, sorry.
If you're planning walks, the Shropshire's Great Outdoors site is useful. For local history, English Heritage has details of properties like Stokesay Castle.
