The Old Milking Parlour
The Old Milking Parlour is in Asterton, right up on the Shropshire hills. It's a converted barn on our farm. It's detached so you're on your own, with your own enclosed garden at the front.
It sleeps two. One bedroom upstairs, with an en-suite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. We renovated it in 2021, so everything's clean and works. It's open plan downstairs. The stairs are a bit steep and there are low beams upstairs, mind you.
Outside, there's a patio with a table and chairs. We've got a bike rack, and there's a heated store if you want to keep bikes inside.
You're on a working farm here, so you'll see sheep and probably hear us about. The village of Wentnor is a short drive, or a good walk. It's got a shop and two pubs.
For walking, you can start right from the door. The Shropshire Way and Offa's Dyke Path are close. It's all part of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Long Mynd is right there. If you're into gliding, the club is very nearby.
Church Stretton is about a twenty minute drive. Ludlow is maybe thirty minutes, for the castle and the market. If you're after historic houses, Attingham Park and Carding Mill Valley are well under half an hour away.
Inside, there's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
