Woodlander is in a quiet part of Dorchester, about a fifteen minute walk from the town centre. It's a terrace house, one of three. We finished doing it up in 2023.
The house sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and everything works. The stairs are a typical terrace house staircase, so they're not too bad. They've got a handrail.
The garden is lawned. It's enclosed, so it's secure for kids. There's a washing machine, a TV, WiFi, and parking on the drive. Bedding and towels are included.
The town centre is walkable. There are shops, cafes, and a few good pubs. For a bigger day out, Weymouth is about eight miles. That's where the proper sandy beach is. The coast path at Durdle Door and Lulworth is about a twenty minute drive. If you're into walking, the South West Coast Path is easy to pick up from there.
Poundbury is on the edge of Dorchester. It's the Prince's Foundation development. It's an interesting place for a stroll if you like architecture. For history, Maiden Castle is just outside town. It's an Iron Age hill fort.
