The Stables is outside Forden, a small village not far from Welshpool. It used to be a stable, obviously. We converted it. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom attached, which is handy.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well finished, but I wouldn't call it 'luxury'. That sounds a bit much. It's just a nice, clean place.
The living area is all open plan. Kitchen, dining, sofa all in one room. There's a patio with a table and chairs. The views are good, just fields and hills. The hot tub is out there too. We provide towels and robes for it.
A few practical things. The entrance and main living area are on the ground floor and are wheelchair accessible. There's a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one dog. Please don't charge an electric car here. There's a supermarket a couple of miles away in Welshpool with chargers.
Forden itself is quiet. There's a pub. For more, you drive to Welshpool or Montgomery. Montgomery is nice for a wander, it's an old town. The Powis Castle gardens are well worth a visit.
You're right on the border here. The Shropshire Hills are a short drive east. For walking, the Chirk Castle estate or the Erddig parkland are good. Offa's Dyke Path isn't far either. It's a good base for that sort of thing.
