Headlands Hideaway

This is Headlands Hideaway in Coverack. It’s basically a semi-detached house on a hillside. We redid it in 2024 to get the most out of the view.

The top floor is open plan, that’s the kitchen, dining table and living area. Big windows on both sides so you can see the bay and the headland. Kitchen’s new, has an induction hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher. There’s a wine cooler and a microwave that also air fries. Downstairs has two bedrooms, a king-size and a twin. One bathroom.

The stairs are fairly steep, because it’s split over two floors like that.

You can bring a dog.

It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and new, but not huge.

Outside, there’s a private garden you get to from the back bedroom. There are also shared gardens with benches. Good spot for a picnic looking out to sea.

Location wise, it’s about a five-minute walk to get onto the South West Coast Path. Porthbeer beach is a couple of minutes down the hill. Coverack village itself is walkable, maybe ten or fifteen minutes. It’s a small fishing place with a harbour, a pub, a fish and chip shop. Good for sailing or windsurfing if you’re into that.

Further out, you’re looking at a drive. Helston is the nearest town, about twenty-five minutes. It has shops and the Flambards theme park if you have kids. The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is out that way too. For gardens, Trebah or The Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within half an hour.

The facilities list covers most things. There’s parking, an electric car charger, WiFi, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The TV has a Playstation hooked up to it.
