Tulip St Harmon

Tulip is a shepherd's hut near St Harmon in Powys. It's just for two people. One room, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.

It's tucked in off the lane, so it's quiet. You get the whole hut and the garden to yourselves. The hot tub is in the garden, which is enclosed. It's private.

The hut is basically one room with a kitchen area at one end and the bed at the other. It's compact, but it's got what you need. There's a shower room. The heating works well, so it's cosy even in winter.

You can walk to the Gilfach Nature Reserve from here. It's a good start for a stroll. Rhayader is a few minutes' drive away for shops and a few places to eat.

The main thing round here is the Elan Valley. The scenery is incredible. The dams are impressive, and there are miles of tracks for walking or cycling. The red kite feeding centre near Rhayader is worth a visit too, you see hundreds of birds.

A bit further out, Llandrindod Wells is a typical Victorian spa town. Builth Wells has the Royal Welsh showground. The Brecon Beacons are about an hour in the car if you want a big day out.

Facilities: there's WiFi, a TV, parking right there, and bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. The garden is fully enclosed, which helps with that.
