Right, so Rose is a shepherd's hut on our site in St Harmon. It's detached, so it's just you two out there. There's a fence around your own garden and patio area, and you get the hot tub to yourselves.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. The bed's made up for you with bedding and towels included.
The hut is on a bit of a slope, so the garden area isn't completely flat. The patio's level, though. The wi-fi is okay, but it's rural, so don't expect to stream films on five devices at once. The TV works fine. There's parking right next to it.
You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, but if your dog's a proper jumper or digger, you'll need to keep an eye on them.
Gilfach Nature Reserve is just up the lane. You can walk there in a few minutes. It's got old farm buildings, woods, and river walks. Rhayader is about a ten-minute drive. It's a small town with shops, a Co-op, cafes, and a few places to eat. The Red Kite feeding station is just outside Rhayader.
The main thing round here is the Elan Valley. It's about fifteen minutes by car. The scenery is really good, with reservoirs and dams. Great for walking or cycling. You can drive the whole valley loop.
For a longer day out, Llandrindod Wells is about half an hour away. It's a spa town with a golf course. Builth Wells, with the Royal Welsh Showground, is maybe thirty-five minutes. The Brecon Beacons are further, more like an hour's drive, but if you want to climb Pen y Fan, that's where you'd go.
