Rose is a shepherd's hut in St Harmon. It’s detached, so it's just you and the fields. It sleeps two.
It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's one bedroom and a shower room. The main space is open plan, so the kitchen, sitting area and bed are all in one room. It’s compact but it works. The garden is enclosed and there’s a private hot tub. It's a good spot for stargazing at night.
The hut is on a site with a few other properties, but the garden is private. You can park right next to it.
Gilfach Nature Reserve is a short walk away. It's got moorland, woods and waterfalls. You can walk straight from the door.
Rhayader is a few minutes drive. It’s a small market town with shops, cafes and places to eat. The Red Kite feeding centre is near there if that's of interest.
The Elan Valley is about ten minutes away. The scenery is fantastic. It’s all Victorian dams, reservoirs and forest. Good for walking or cycling. You can drive the valley road.
Further out, Llandrindod Wells is about a 20 minute drive. Builth Wells is about half an hour. The Brecon Beacons are further, maybe an hour's drive for a big day out.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are included. There’s parking. You can bring up to two dogs.
