Primrose
Primrose is a little cottage here in St Harmon. It's our place. It's two bedrooms, sleeps four. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
The cottage is all on the ground floor, which is handy. There's one bathroom with a shower. The garden is enclosed and private, which is good if you've got dogs. You can bring two. There's a hot tub out there too.
It's a quiet village. The Gilfach Nature Reserve starts just up the lane. You can walk straight into it. It's got old farm buildings, a river, and some waterfalls.
Rhayader is about a ten minute drive. It's a small market town. You've got shops, a couple of supermarkets, cafes, and some places to eat. The Red Kite feeding centre is just outside it. They feed the birds every afternoon. You see hundreds of them.
The main thing here is the Elan Valley. It's about fifteen minutes away. It's a series of Victorian dams in the hills. The scenery is stunning, honestly. Great for walks and bike rides. The roads are popular with motorbikes.
If you fancy a round of golf, the course at Llandrindod Wells is about twenty five minutes drive. Builth Wells is about half an hour. That's where the Royal Welsh Showground is.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a TV, WiFi, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
