Roach Doddington

Roach is on our farm in Doddington. It's a one-bedroom place, sleeps two. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and everything works. It's not huge, but it's fine for a couple.

The main thing here is the space outside. You're on a working arable farm. There are 20 acres to wander in. There are two fishing lakes right outside. You can see one from the cottage.

There's also an indoor heated swimming pool on site. You share that with the other holiday lets here. It's good for a relax after a walk.

The cottage itself is open plan downstairs. Kitchen, living area, all in one room. Upstairs is the bedroom and a bathroom with a shower. The stairs are standard, not too steep. There's parking right outside.

You've got a private patio area with a table. It looks out over the grounds.

In the cottage, bedding and towels are included. There's a TV and WiFi. The WiFi works, but we're in the countryside so it's not super-fast.

For shops, the nearest is about three-quarters of a mile away. There's a pub that does food two miles away.

Lincoln is very close, about five miles. That's where you go for a proper day out. The cathedral and castle are up on the hill. The Christmas market is busy. Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle have the details.

Newark Showground is about a fifteen minute drive. They have antique fairs and events. Burton Waters marina is nearby too, with some restaurants and bars.

If you want to walk, the area is flat so it's good for cycling. The River Witham paths are accessible.
