The Old Forge is in Saxilby. It's a detached, single-storey place built from an old blacksmith's forge. Sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well done up and comfortable.
It's in our garden, but it's private. You get the patio area to yourselves. The inside is all on one level and open plan. There's a woodburning stove for cold nights.
The village shop is just up the road, maybe 20 yards. There's a decent local pub about 200 yards away. A restaurant is half a mile down the road.
You can walk to the canal from the door. It goes all the way into Lincoln. Lincoln is about six miles away. The cathedral and castle are up on the hill. Brayford Wharf is at the bottom, by the water. Good for a day out.
Newark Showground is a 20-minute drive if antique fairs are your thing. There's a golf course nearby too.
For facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside. No pets, sorry.
