Pine Cottage is in Lix, near Killin. It's a single storey detached cottage in a small group of five. They're all well spaced out, so you've got your own big garden with a view of the forest.
It sleeps four. One double bedroom, one twin, and a bathroom with a shower. It’s a 3 Star place, so it’s comfortable and clean. Nothing fancy, but it works.
You come into the main living area. The kitchen is off to the side. There's a wood burner in the living room. The conservatory is a good spot to sit. The garden is large and open, with a table, chairs, and a chimenea. You’ll see deer sometimes.
You're in the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. It's forest all around, very quiet. Good for walking straight from the door. Killin village is about five minutes' drive for a shop and pubs. Callander is half an hour away.
The facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
If you want to plan trips, the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park site has walking routes. For local history, the National Trust for Scotland has properties within about a 40 minute drive, like the David Livingstone Trust.
