This is Larch. It's one of several holiday places here at Acharn, near Killin. It's in Stirlingshire, right in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
It's a detached lodge, all on one level. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. Because it's all on one level, it can be good for people who find stairs difficult.
The lodge looks out over our 30-acre estate. There are trout ponds here, and you can do some fly fishing on a catch and release basis. We've also got a private stretch of the River Dochart for salmon fishing, but you'd need to arrange that with me directly beforehand. There's a tennis and basketball court, and a kids' play area with a picnic table.
You can walk straight from your door onto the paths around the estate. You'll see plenty of wildlife. Red squirrels, deer, birds. There are picnic benches by the ponds.
Killin village is about a mile away. You can walk there on a quiet path. It's got a few pubs, cafes, shops, and the Falls of Dochart. They have a 9-hole golf course and events like the Highland Games.
Loch Tay is close for water sports. There's hill walking, cycling, and Highland safaris nearby. Finlarig Castle is a short drive away. If you like whisky, there are distilleries you can visit.
For facilities: you've got parking right outside, a patio garden, WiFi, TV, a dishwasher, and bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's bike storage if you need it.
