Casa Duran
Casa Duran is one of a pair of semi-detached cottages in Killin. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and there are two bathrooms which is handy.
The living room has French doors that open onto a small patio. The view from there looks out over fields and trees. You can see red squirrels and deer sometimes. It’s quiet.
The village is a five-minute walk. There's a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and a restaurant. The Falls of Dochart are right at the west end of the village, where the two rivers meet. It's a good spot.
You're in Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, so there are walks from the doorstep. You can walk along the rivers or up into the hills. For fishing, Loch Tay is close by.
If you want to drive out, you're about half an hour from places like Callander or the lochs. The Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park site has walking and cycling routes. For historic sites, Historic Environment Scotland has details on local castles.
The cottage has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
It can be booked with the cottage next door if you're a bigger group.
