Alder is a lodge in Killin, in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. It's one of a few places on a 30-acre estate. It's detached and all on one level, which is good if steps are a problem.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The lodge itself is open plan. You've got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
Outside, there's a private patio area for you. The estate has fishing ponds, a tennis court, a kids' play area, and plenty of space to walk. You might see deer or red squirrels.
Killin village is about a mile away. You can walk it on a path. There are pubs, shops, and cafés there. The Falls of Dochart are right in the village. The local 9-hole golf course is there too.
You're in the middle of the national park. Loch Tay is very close for water sports. Ben Lawers is nearby for walking. If you want to drive, you can be at Loch Lomond in under half an hour. Stirling, with the castle and historic sites, is about an hour.
You can bring one dog. The owners have a stretch of the River Dochart for salmon fishing, but you need to arrange that with them directly in advance.
