Can Duran
This is Can Duran. It's a semi-detached cottage on the Highland Park estate, just on the edge of Killin village. You're inside the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, so you’re right in it.
The cottage sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It has a 4 Star rating. The place is modern and clean inside, with a decent open-plan living area.
You get a small covered patio area at the front door. It’s a good spot. We see red squirrels and deer around the estate quite often.
Killin village centre is a few minutes' walk. There's a shop about 800 yards away. The pub is even closer, about 200 yards. They do food. The Falls of Dochart are right there in the village, which is a good starting point for a walk. You can follow the rivers or head into the hills without needing the car.
If you do drive, you’re well placed. Loch Tay is next to the village. You can get fishing boats and lessons locally if that’s your thing. There’s golf nearby. The Highland Safari Park is about a 20-minute drive. For a day out, you can get to Stirling Castle or some of the whisky distilleries around Perthshire in under half an hour.
Facilities: there’s parking right outside, a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and bedding and towels are included. We don’t allow pets. There’s bike storage if you need it.
