Maple

It's Maple, one of three lodges we have here on the estate. It's in Killin, Stirlingshire. The place is detached and all on one level. That makes it good if you don't want steps. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Everything's included. Bedding and towels are here for you.

The lodge sits in about 30 acres. It feels private. There's a patio and garden area that's just yours. You get parking right outside.

You can walk straight out from the door for miles. The path into Killin village is quiet and takes about 20 minutes. The village has a couple of shops, pubs, and places to eat. The Falls of Dochart are there too, which are worth seeing.

On the estate itself, there's a tennis and basketball court, a kids' play area, and three trout ponds for fly fishing. It's catch and release, barbless hooks only. You'll see a lot of wildlife. Red squirrels, deer, birds. Bring binoculars.

You're right in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Loch Tay is about a ten minute drive for watersports. Ben Lawers is right there for walking. If you want to explore, Glencoe or Stirling are within an hour's drive. The National Trust for Scotland looks after the Falls of Dochart site.

We take one well-behaved dog. There's a walk-in shower in the bathroom. The estate is dark at night, so the stars are good on a clear evening.

Maple, Alder, and Larch are the three lodges. They're spaced out. You can book them together if you're a bigger group.
