Ideal for touring Argyll and known as the “Gateway to the Isles”, with ferries leaving daily to many of the islands, such as Mull, Iona, Staffa, Lismore. Further afield but within an hour’s drive, visitors can take a trip to stunning Glencoe, drive to Fort William either to see Ben Nevis or catch the steam train to Mallaig, or perhaps visit to Inveraray to enjoy the Castle or infamous Jail.
