The Old Smithy

Proudly stood in the heart of the village of Singleton, The Old Smithy has been completely refurbished inside in 2021 making it an ideal holiday home for families or groups. This former blacksmith’s workshop would have been the hub of the village and still oozes history today. No matter the weather the pergoda in the garden provides cover for the outdoor nook, the perfect spot to relax with your favourite book or cosy up and watch the stars on a balmy summer evening.

Singleton, also known as the Model Village of The Fylde, has an abundance of local walks and cycling routes for all abilities. The local country pub is just yards away offering a selection of freshly cooked homemade meals and serving beer from local breweries. Head to the Blackpowder Gin Company for a great afternoon out tantalising your tastebuds.

The Fylde coast is nearby and offers something for everyone. Visit Blackpool, 6 miles. The Pleasure Beach, Sea Life Centre and Madam Tussauds all provide some great family fun. Thornton Cleveleys, also 6 miles, has an award winning beach, while further up the coast, Lytham St Anne’s is home to 4 championship golf courses and holds popular events all year round including the Lytham Proms and Kite Festival. Inland, the beautiful Ribble Valley, Forest of Bowland AONB, Yorkshire Dales and Lake District can all be reached within an hour’s drive.
