The Skybluepink Gite
Forming part of a new conversion, the apartment is on the first floor of the separate building accessed by a set of stairs. From here you will see picturesque views of the rolling Sussex countryside and the owners own gardens and animals. As part of a working smallholding there are horses, chickens and a flock of inquisitive sheep in the field next to the property. Surrounding the property are many countryside walks perfect for ramblers, country lanes for cyclists or just for exploring and enjoying the fresh air. If you don’t feel like cooking after a day of exploring, then a lovely country pub is only a short walk away at the end of the lane.
As soon as you reach the front door you benefit from the beautiful views with a large window even being placed in the porch to frame the countryside. Inside a large open plan room welcomes you with a cosy seating area, a dining area and kitchen, all spacious enough for two to enjoy very comfortably. The property has been newly converted and has all been finished to a high standard for your convenience and enjoyment. An area of outside space allows guests to enjoy some sunshine and fresh air along with a table and chairs for alfresco meals or aperitif before dining.
The local vineyard, producers of award winning Henners sparkling wine is open for visits too. A slightly longer drive brings you to Hailsham where there are supermarkets and a range of excellent restaurants and cafes plus you can enjoy the dry slope at Knockhatch with some skiing and snowboarding, or a walk or a cycle along the Cuckoo Trail. The historic town of Battle is only a short drive away, providing many small boutique shops and independent cafes along with pubs and restaurants, the stunning Battle Abbey of 1066 fame, and The Battle of Hastings now owned by English Heritage.
For history lovers the ancient town of Rye is a delight and within easy reach. Larger towns such as Eastbourne and Hastings boast shopping centres for some retail therapy but also lots of typically British seaside fun with piers, amusements, mini golf and of course the cliffs and beaches!
