The Byre is one of three cottages here on our place in the foothills of the Preseli Hills. It's down a private, stony track so it's quiet. You're surrounded by fields.
It's a two bedroom cottage that sleeps four, with one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been finished to a high standard. There's underfloor heating downstairs and a wood burner for cooler nights. The doors from the bedrooms lead straight out to your own patio bit.
You get your own enclosed garden with outdoor furniture. There's also a private wood-fired hot tub, which is nice in the evenings. The land around the cottages is yours to wander. There's a small lake you can walk round. Our Belted Galloway cows are usually in the field next door.
The village of Maenclochog is about a mile and a half away. It's got a useful shop with a petrol pump, a café, and a pub.
You're pretty central for getting around Pembrokeshire. The north coast is about 25 minutes by car. Newport is a nice day out on that coast. On the south coast, Tenby is famous for its beaches and harbour. Both are within a 30 minute drive.
If you're after activities, Llys Y Fran reservoir has walking and cycling trails. Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm, and Heatherton are all within half an hour's drive.
Facilities here include a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. There's also an electric vehicle charger. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
For planning your trip, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park site and Visit Wales have good information.
