Y Glowty

Y Glowty is in Maenclochog, right in the Preseli Hills. It's a detached barn conversion, so you won't have anyone next door.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which helps. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's warm and comfortable, but it's still an old stone barn, so mind your head on a few of the beams. The stairs are wooden and a bit steep.

The main room is open plan, with a wood burner. It's a good space for everyone to be together. The sun room at the back looks onto the garden. The garden is enclosed and private. There's a hot tub out there.

Maenclochog has a shop for basics, a café, and a pub that does local ales. The village is quiet, but you're right on the edge of the hills for walking. The top of Foel Cwmcerwyn, which is the highest point in Pembrokeshire, is about a thirty minute walk from the door.

A few minutes’ drive away is Rosebush. There's a pub there called Tafarn Sinc. It's very traditional, with sawdust on the floor. You can pick up a lot of walking trails from there too.

For a day at the coast, Tenby is about a twenty-five minute drive. It's a proper seaside town with beaches and a harbour. The main Pembrokeshire attractions like Oakwood, Folly Farm, and Heatherton are all within half an hour by car.

Facilities: there's a dishwasher, a washing machine, a cot and highchair if needed, and bedding and towels are included. On-site parking. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
