Yr Hen Glowty

This cottage is Yr Hen Glowty. It's on our farm near Wallis, in Pembrokeshire. We've been here three generations. It's a stone barn we've done up. Detached, so it's just you. The garden's enclosed.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. One bedroom has an en-suite with a small sauna for two people.

The main room is big, with a high ceiling and a wood burner. There's a leather sofa, TV, WiFi. We've put in a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, and there's parking right outside.

Outside, there's a wood-fired hot tub. You have to light it yourself, it takes a few hours to heat. It's under the open sky. There's also a BBQ.

You're welcome to feed the chickens. You can collect eggs for your breakfast.

The farm track to the main road is about 200 yards. Once you're out, you're in the countryside. The Preseli Hills are close by for walks. Llys y Frân reservoir is about two miles away if you fancy that.

Fishguard is eight miles for shops, a supermarket, and things like a chemist. They have a farmer's market on Saturdays.

The Pembrokeshire coast is about a 20-30 minute drive, depending on which bit you're heading for. The coastal path is all along there. Good beaches at Newport, Poppit, and lots of others. The lanes are narrow and can be busy in summer.

Useful links: Pembrokeshire Coast National Park for the coast path and beaches, and National Trust Pembrokeshire for places like Stackpole and St Davids.

No pets, I'm afraid.
