The Granary is one of three cottages here at Meals Farm. It's a converted barn. We're in North Somercotes, Lincolnshire. It's quite flat, quite open, and about a mile from the sea.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not luxurious. The walls between the cottages are solid, so it's quiet.
There's a proper enclosed garden with a patio. It gets the sun in the afternoon. Parking is right outside.
Inside, it's all on one level. There's a dishwasher, a TV, and the WiFi works fine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
The village is about a mile away. There are a couple of pubs, shops, and takeaways. For a beach, Donna Nook is a mile down the road. It's a nature reserve, so check the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust website for seal pupping seasons. It can get busy then.
Louth is a market town about fifteen minutes' drive. It has good shops and a cinema. Mablethorpe is about twenty minutes along the coast for a more traditional seaside day. Lincoln is just under an hour if you want a cathedral and a castle.
It's a good spot if you like walking or cycling because it's flat. The Lincolnshire Wolds are a short drive inland if you want hills. For wider planning, the Visit Lincolnshire site is useful.
