Lilium Cottage

Lilium Cottage is in North Somercotes, which is a village near the Lincolnshire coast. It’s a detached bungalow, so all the rooms are on one level. It's next to our house, but it’s private. You get the whole place to yourselves.

It sleeps five people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's open plan, so the kitchen, dining and sitting area are all in one big room.

The garden is enclosed and there's parking on the drive. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and a woodburning stove in the living area. Bedding and towels are included.

The village has a couple of pubs that do food, a restaurant, a few shops and takeaways. All within about ten minutes' walk.

For the coast, the beach at Mablethorpe is about 15 minutes' drive south. It's a classic seaside town with a sandy beach, fairground and amusements. Heading north, Cleethorpes is a bit further, maybe half an hour. They've got the light railway and Pleasure Island theme park there.

Donna Nook is very close, only a couple of miles away. It's a nature reserve. From late October to December, you can see seals having their pups on the beach. It gets busy but it's quite something to see.

Louth is the main market town nearby, about 20 minutes inland. It's nice for a wander, has good independent shops and a few decent places to eat. Hubbards Hills there is a good spot for a walk.
