This perfect hideaway is ideal for couples or a young family looking to get away for a rural retreat. Burn View will not disappoint, placed within the grounds of the historic Mergie Castle Estate, this well presented cottage is finished to a very good standard, and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The open plan living space provides plenty of natural daylight from a large picture window, and on cooler days this a relaxing place to sit, relax and watch the wildlife go by whilst feeling the warmth from the wood burner. The well equipped kitchen has everything you need to eat in, but nearby Stonehaven, 8 miles, and Banchory, 12 miles, have plenty of restaurants, take-aways and coffee shops, should you wish to eat out. Two double bedrooms and a family shower room ensure you wake up revived and refreshed from a good night’s sleep. Outside is a very pleasant seating area to the side of the cottage, with wooden dining table and chairs, great to sit with a morning coffee or an evening drink and listen to the calm and tranquillity around you.
Although set within the heart of stunning Scottish countryside, beautiful beach walks are not far away at Stonehaven. Take time to enjoy the pretty harbour before heading along the coast. Dunnottar Castle perched high on cliffs is one of the finest you will see in Scotland. For those who wish to enjoy a Hogmanay, the town’s fireballs ceremony is a real blaze of a party! Beach 8 miles.
