A great apartment to spend a few days exploring the interesting town of Montrose and its surroundings! This second floor property is in a prime position in the high street but has its own private parking as well as fine views over Montrose Basin from the rear.
Enjoy a drink or meal in the stylish kitchen with the sunset in the background over the Basin, while the spacious living room is a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by below. With its wide thoroughfare and good selection of shops and restaurants, Montrose is a great base for a varied and interesting holiday.
There is much to interest the visitor at any time of the year from fascinating museums, including Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre and the William Lamb Studio, to the amazing Montrose Basin Wildlife Centre, where guided walks take place with the local ranger. Montrose is renowned for its fabulous sandy beach and links, where there are green parks and nice little cafés as well as tennis courts, a good sports centre, and an excellent links 18-hole golf course. There is a popular farmers’ market held in the town on the first Saturday of every month attracting a variety of stallholders, while further afield, the breathtaking scenery of the rolling hills and glens are a good challenge for any keen walker.
There are lots of exciting things to see and do in between, from playing championship golf courses to visiting castles and historic houses. The cities of Dundee and Aberdeen have their own attractions and are easily accessed by car or by train – the local station is within walking distance of the apartment. With events and festivals throughout the year and world-famous food to choose from, there’s something for everyone, making this the perfect holiday destination.
