1 The Courtyard

This lovely, detached house is set in the hamlet of Kinneff, close to the picturesque and dramatic Angus coastline and 4 miles from the town of Stonehaven, rated Best Scottish Coastal Town in 2022. Spacious yet homely with a quirky feel, the very comfortable open plan living/dining room features a multi-fuel burner for cosying up on cooler days. Outside there is a good-sized rear garden on two levels with a decking area, as well as a secluded raised patio, a real suntrap and where guests can enjoy a barbecue or drink.
Kinneff is known for its part in Scottish history, where the Scottish Crown Jewels were hidden after they had been rescued from Dunnottar Castle during Oliver Cromwell’s siege in 1652. The local minister and his wife devised the plan to smuggle them out of the castle right under the noses of the besieging forces, when were buried in the church for 9 years until the restitution of Charles ll. Beach 3 ¾ miles.
