A tranquil oasis in the heart of Montrose, this delightful garden apartment is in the grounds of Mall House close to the heart of the market town of Montrose. With three bedrooms, a sitting room and kitchen, the apartment is perfect for those looking for a comfortable base from which to explore this lovely part of Scotland.
Particularly suited for families, there is a master bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a further twin room and a bunk bedroom with adult sized bunk beds. Peaceful and quiet with a sense of space and calm, guests are invited to enjoy the extensive gardens surrounding the main house, in spring awash with bluebells, tulips and other spring flowers, careful planting combined with a naturalistic style, walking around it is a complete antidote to the stresses and strains of modern life.
This location is suited to guests who are looking for tranquil/peaceful holidays. It is a short walk into the town, with its plethora of independent shops and eateries, while another short walk will take you to the parkland links and beyond to the glorious beach with pale golden sand and clean, if bracing, water. Wildlife such as porpoises, dolphins and seals are regularly spotted along this coast, with miles of walking on this sandy shore. Within easy reach of Aberdeen and Dundee, Montrose is known for its wide high street, intriguing closes, and mid links gardens close by. Culture lovers will enjoy visiting the House of Dun, Glamis Castle and the spectacular Dunnottar Castle, while aviation enthusiasts will find the Montrose Air station, a must-visit with its artefacts and history for anyone interested in its role in two world wars. The Grampian hills are a walker’s paradise - reached by quiet, unspoilt scenic roads. While Edzell Castle and J. M. Barrie’s birthplace, the inspiration for Peter Pan, are close by too.
