Nestled in extensive privately owned grounds, Elrick House makes the perfect setting for a family gathering or special occasion. With eight beautifully decorated and individually furnished en-suite rooms it will comfortably sleep up to sixteen in real style. The stunning dining room provides the perfect setting for a memorable meal, and after there is plenty of space to spread out with formal and informal living rooms, a snug gin bar, a whisky room as well as a well equipped kitchen with informal sitting area.
Delve into the history of this unique and beautiful 18th century period Estate. Nestled in the lowlands of Aberdeenshire, the House of Elrick Estate is a family home which has only passed hands five times in 300 years. Built at the height of the Scottish Enlightenment period in 1720, it hosted lively discussions from some of the most respected creative, philosophical and scientific minds of the time. They include, Bonnie Prince Charlie and the famous illustrator Eleanor Vere Boyle, renowned for illustrating stories for Hans Christian Andersen and Alfred Lord Tennyson, as well as writing poetry about Elrick.
The Estate has been extensively renovated to provide a wonderful exclusive environment for that special occasion or get together. The Gardens date back to the 17th century; with woodland areas surrounding areas of parkland and gardens, a wander around the grounds will restore and revive. The Burn of Straloch runs alongside the 52 acres. Come and enjoy the apple store where you can stock the fridge, listen to music and enjoy a dram by the fire pit or enjoy an informal BBQ on the large, decked terrace. The House of Elrick grounds also features a busy working artisan gin distillery, which produce a range of premium quality spirits. The distillery is mainly known for its award-winning House of Elrick Original Gin, which is sold around the world. Tours and tastings can be arranged directly with the owner. Beach 8 miles
