Ladybird Barn is near Medlam in Lincolnshire. It's one of a few barns converted in 2020. They're done to a high standard, but you know me, I'd just say it's comfortable and everything works.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's very well finished. Everything is on the ground floor, which is handy. There's a ramp to the front door, so it's wheelchair accessible.
The main thing is the garden. It's enclosed and private. There's a hot tub out there. The barn looks out over the fields and you can see a bit of the River Witham.
You can bring one dog. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
It's quiet here. You can walk straight out into the lanes and fields. There's fishing on the estate if that's your thing. The village pub is about a mile's walk away. It does food.
If you want to go out, Lincoln is about 45 minutes by car. That's where the cathedral and castle are. The Lincolnshire coast is within half an hour. Places like Skegness and Gibraltar Point have good beaches. Gibraltar Point is a nature reserve, good for a walk.
For history, RAF Coningsby is about 15 minutes away. You can see the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight planes there sometimes. The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby is also close. They have a Lancaster bomber you can see up close.
Useful links for planning: Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust for nature reserves, and National Trust Lincolnshire for places like Gunby Hall.
