Kingfisher Lodge is in Keal Cotes. It's one of a group of modern lodges set around a fishing lake. The location is quiet and quite flat, typical for Lincolnshire. You get a private, enclosed patio area out the front which looks straight over the water.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. Everything's on one level, which is handy.
The lake is right there. It's a coarse fishing lake with carp, tench, that sort of thing. You need to get a permit if you want to fish. The local village pub is about a minute's walk away. They're dog-friendly and do food.
The nearest shop is a couple of miles away in Spilsby. Spilsby itself is a small market town. Horncastle is known for its antique shops if that's your thing. For a walk, Snipe Dales is a country park about ten minutes by car.
The Lincolnshire coast is about half an hour's drive. Places like Chapel St Leonards and Skegness have long, sandy beaches. Lincoln is a bit further, maybe forty minutes. The cathedral is worth seeing. Their Christmas market is big, but it gets very busy.
What's here: there's a dishwasher, wifi, and parking right outside. Bedding is included. One well-behaved dog is allowed. The patio is enclosed but it's not a huge garden, just a paved area with a table.
