Kingfisher Lodge Keal Cotes

Kingfisher Lodge is in Keal Cotes, which is a small village near Spilsby. It's one of a few lodges on site, set right next to a fishing lake. The view from the decking is over the water.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is on one level, no stairs. It's open plan inside.

The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have a dog. You can bring one dog. There's parking right outside the lodge.

There's a pub about 100 yards down the road. It's dog friendly and does food. The nearest shop is in Spilsby, about two miles away.

If you're here to fish, you're looking at the lake. It's a mixed coarse lake with carp. You need to arrange a permit. If you're not, it's just a nice view.

For walks, Snipe Dales Country Park is nearby. The Lincolnshire coast, with beaches like Chapel St Leonards, is about a 20 minute drive. Lincoln is further, maybe 40 minutes. The cathedral is the main thing there, and the Christmas market if you're visiting in December.

Bolingbroke Castle is a short drive away. It's an English Heritage site, mostly ruins now, but interesting if you like history.

Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, WiFi, and a shower. Bedding is included. It's decorated for Christmas if you book over that period.
