Willow Lodge is in Keal Cotes. It's one of a few lodges on the same site, all set around a fishing lake. The view from the lodge is of the water.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms and has one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfy. The main space is open plan. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you've got a dog.
Speaking of dogs, you can bring one. There's a local pub about 100 yards away that's dog friendly too. They do food.
The main thing here is the fishing. The lake is right there, and it's stocked with coarse fish including some big carp. You can get a permit.
If you're not fishing, it's quiet. Spilsby and Horncastle are a short drive. Horncastle has a lot of antique shops. The Lincolnshire coast with its long sandy beaches is about half an hour away. Lincoln city is also within a 30 minute drive, and the cathedral is worth seeing. They have a big Christmas market.
For walks, Snipe Dales Country Park is nearby. So is old Bolingbroke Castle, though it's mostly ruins now.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a dishwasher, and bedding and towels are provided. The place can be decorated for Christmas if you book it over that period.
