Parkers Lodge is on the Netherley Hall Estate near Cradley, on the Herefordshire and Worcestershire border. It's a detached cottage we built in 2006. It's got two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. Sleeps four.
The rating is 5 Star, which means it's fitted out to a high standard. It's comfortable and clean. You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and cattle in the fields.
The cottage faces west, looking out over the farmland towards the Malvern Hills. The view from the patio is good, especially in the evening. It's quiet. You get your own garden and parking.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine, a dining area, and a sitting area with a TV. WiFi is included. We provide all the bedding and towels.
The stairs are not steep. Both bedrooms are upstairs. There's a cot in one of the bedrooms if you need it.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a charge for pets.
The location is rural. The farm is 700 acres, so you can walk straight out from the cottage. For a shop or a pub, you need to drive. There's a village shop about a mile away, and a couple of pubs within two or three miles.
Malvern is about a 15 minute drive. You can walk up the hills from there. The Malvern Hills Trust website has maps. The Three Counties Showground and Malvern Theatre are also in Malvern.
Hereford is about half an hour away. Worcester is about 25 minutes. Both have racecourses. There are lots of other racecourses within an hour, like Cheltenham and Ludlow.
Other things nearby: there's fishing on the estate, and golf courses a short drive away. For a bigger day out, the Forest of Dean or the Wye Valley are within 45 minutes.
