Duck Pond is a cottage on a farm in Ridgeway Cross. It's detached. Sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. Everything is on one level which makes it easy.
It used to be a pig sty. They converted it in 1978, so it's got the original beams. The conversion is good. You get your own parking spot right outside and a private garden. The view from the garden is the best part. It looks straight out over fields towards the Malvern Hills.
It's got a four star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. Everything works. There's a TV and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. The entrance is step-free.
It's quiet here. There's a pub and a restaurant about a mile and a half away. For a proper shop, you'd drive to Ledbury or Bromyard.
If you like walking, you can see the Malvern Hills from the garden. The Malvern Hills Trust site has walking routes. British Camp is a good start. For a different walk, the Wye Valley isn't far. The National Trust has several properties within half an hour, like Berrington Hall.
Ledbury is nice for butchers and cafes. Hereford is about a twenty minute drive for the cathedral or bigger shops. Cheltenham is further, maybe forty minutes if you want regency architecture. You can get to Worcester or the Shropshire hills in under an hour.
You can bring one dog. There's a golf course nearby if that's your thing.
