Anchors Away
Anchors Away is a ground floor apartment in Blue Anchor village. It's on a main road so you get passers-by and traffic. The view from the garden and conservatory is across the bay to Minehead, which is the main thing.
The place has one bedroom and sleeps two. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything feels quite new. The shower is a decent size.
You get a private, enclosed garden at the back. It's all yours. It's good for dogs. We allow up to two. The garden leads out onto the conservatory, which is where you'll probably end up sitting to look at the sea.
Blue Anchor beach is straight ahead across the road. It's dog friendly all year. The steam railway runs through the village and you can hear it sometimes. You can get trips up to Minehead or down to Bishops Lydeard.
There's a village shop and a pub, the Blue Anchor Inn, both a short walk away.
Minehead is about three miles east along the coast road. It's got shops, a golf course, and Butlins if you fancy that. Watchet harbour is three miles west.
You're on the edge of Exmoor. Dunster, with the castle, is a ten minute drive inland. For walkers, the South West Coast Path is right here, and Exmoor National Park is a short drive away.
The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is for one car on site.
