Anchors Away
Anchors Away is a ground floor flat in Blue Anchor. It's one of a few in the same building. You look right out over the bay towards Minehead.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well kitted out. It's all on one level, which makes it easy.
The living room is fine, with a TV. The kitchen has what you need: oven, fridge, dishwasher. There's a conservatory on the back with doors out to your own bit of garden. It's enclosed, so it's safe for dogs. The garden gets the sun in the afternoon.
The beach is about a five minute walk. It's dog friendly all year. The village has a pub a few minutes away. The West Somerset Railway runs right past, and you can get on at Blue Anchor station. They do day trips and special runs. You can get the train to Minehead or Watchet.
Minehead is about three miles east. There's a big beach, an arcade, shops. Watchet is two miles west. It's a small harbour town, nice for a stroll. Dunster, with its castle, is a ten minute drive inland.
Exmoor National Park starts just outside Minehead. You can be up on the moor in 20 minutes by car. For organised walks or history, the National Trust Exmoor site is useful.
It takes two dogs. The listing says small to medium, but you can ask about more. Parking is right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine. It has WiFi.
