Tacker Street Cottage

Tacker Street Cottage is in Rodhuish, on the edge of the village. It's semi-detached. You get over to it by a small wooden bridge across a stream. The stream runs through the neighbour's land, but the bridge is yours to use.

It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. The rating is 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean but not high-end. The garden is nice, quite large, and looks out into the wooded valley.

The local pub is about a quarter of a mile away. A shop is half a mile. The pub does food.

You're right on the edge of Exmoor here. You can walk straight out into the lanes and onto the moor. Dunster Castle and its village are a short drive away, maybe ten minutes. The West Somerset Railway runs from Bishops Lydeard up to Minehead, and you can pick it up at various stops.

The coast at Blue Anchor or Watchet is about a fifteen-minute drive. Minehead is a bit further. The moor itself is all around you, really. You'll see the ponies and sometimes deer.

For facilities, there's a woodburning stove, a barbecue, and the patio and garden. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. You can bring up to two dogs. Because of the stream and the unfenced garden, you'd need to keep an eye on them and children.

If you're planning walks or days out, these sites are useful: Exmoor National Park and National Trust Somerset.
