Seagate Cottage is in Minehead. It's a 17th century thatched cottage, and it's right across the road from the beach. The view from the front of the house is over the beach and the sea. It's old, so the layout is topsy-turvy. All of that is fact.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's a double upstairs and twins down. One bathroom. It's a 4 Star rating, which means it's well kept and comfortable.
It can be a bit draughty, because it's old and thatched. The stairs are uneven and steep, again because it's old. That's just how it is. The bedroom and living room upstairs get the best of the sea view.
The facilities are normal, but the view from the living room sofa is something else. Washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a green area across the road.
Minehead's a proper seaside town. Everything you need, like shops and pubs, is a short walk away. You're right on the seafront.
Useful for planning: the West Somerset Railway station is just round the corner. For walks, Exmoor National Park starts at the edge of town. Dunster with its castle, now National Trust, is two miles inland. Lynmouth, Lynton, Porlock; they're all within half an hour's drive.
