This is Seagate Cottage in Minehead. It's right opposite the beach, so the main thing is the view. You can see the sea from the living room and the main bedroom upstairs.
It's a thatched cottage from the 1600s, so the layout is a bit unusual. You come in on the ground floor, where the kitchen, a twin bedroom, and the bathroom are. Then you go upstairs to the living room and the main double bedroom. There's a separate toilet up there too. Because it's old, the stairs are fairly steep.
It sleeps four and has a 4 Star rating. One well-behaved pet is welcome. We leave bowls and a blanket for dogs. The beach opposite allows dogs from September to May, and there's a green patch just across the road.
Everything in Minehead is within walking distance. Shops, pubs, places to eat. The West Somerset Steam Railway station is just around the corner if you fancy a trip.
The location is good for getting out. Dunster with its castle is a couple of miles away. Exmoor is right there for walking. You can drive to Lynmouth, Lynton, or Porlock in under half an hour.
Included in the price: all utilities, bedding and towels, WiFi, and a cot if you need it. There's a TV, a washer-dryer, and parking for one car on the private lane at the back.
