Orange Yurt Broadmuir

Orange Yurt is just outside Broadmuir in Aberdeenshire. It is a, well, yurt. Orange one. You'll find it round the back of the main farmhouse.

It's for three people maximum. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It is comfortable. We've tried to think of everything you might need. There's a proper kitchen area and a shower room.

The main thing is the hot tub. It's private, just for you, on the decking outside the yurt.

You can bring up to two dogs. We ask that they stay off the furniture. There's space outside for kids to run around.

It's quiet. You'll hear birds, maybe sheep. The nearest shop and pub are in Cuminestown, about a ten minute drive. They are fine. For bigger shops you'd go to Turriff or Peterhead.

If you want the coast, it's about half an hour to places like Pennan or Fraserburgh. Pennan is that village with the phone box from the film. The beach at Fraserburgh is long and sandy.

There are a lot of castles and distilleries around here if that's your sort of thing. Fyvie Castle is close. So is Glen Garioch distillery.

For walks, you can just head out from the yurt into the farmland. For more structured routes, Bennachie is about 40 minutes drive. The Cairngorms National Park is south of us, maybe an hour's drive.

What's here: the yurt, the hot tub, parking, a TV, WiFi, all bedding and towels. The power and everything is included.

We have another property on site, the Bothy. The two can be booked together if you're a bigger group.
