Ruach

Ruach is a terraced cottage in Gardenstown. Its main thing is the view. You sit in the living room and look straight out over the sea. The windows are big. It's very bright.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One's an ensuite. It's got a 3 Star rating. Everything works, it's clean and comfortable. It's not a show home.

French doors lead out to the garden at the back. It's enclosed, so it's private. You can sit out there. The sunsets can be really good.

The village is on a steep hill. The cottage is about halfway up. The beach is 350 yards downhill. The local shop is 250 yards away, the pub and restaurant are about 300. You can walk to the next village, Crovie, along the coast path. It's a proper old fishing village, no cars.

You often see dolphins in the bay. You can watch them from the cliff or book a boat trip from the harbour.

Facilities: there's a woodburning stove, parking for one car, WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and a highchair. No pets, sorry.

If you want to go further out, Banff and Macduff are a short drive. Fraserburgh is about half an hour. For a big day out, the Castle Fraser estate or Fyvie Castle are within 45 minutes. The North East 250 route goes past if you like driving.
