Failte
Failte is in Gardenstown. It sleeps four, but it does that with one bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. So it's good for a couple, or a couple with two kids. It's got a 4 Star rating.
It's a simple sort of place. There's a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and the bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. There's parking right there. You can bring two dogs.
The cottage is on one level, no stairs to worry about. The shower is a walk-in one.
The village is about three miles away. There's a hotel there that does food. The beach is sandy. The walk along the Crovie clifftop path is good for the views.
If you drive for half an hour, you can get to Fraserburgh or Banff. Fraserburgh has supermarkets and a harbour. The Museum of Scottish Lighthouses is there, inside Kinnaird Head Castle. In Banff, there's Duff House and a golf course.
For wildlife, the RSPB reserve at Troup Head is nearby for seabirds. You can sometimes see dolphins from the shore, or you can book a boat trip from Macduff. The Macduff Marine Aquarium is there too.
