The Windowky is in Gardenstown. It's a first-floor flat, so you go up some steps from the street to get in. The stairs inside are fine, just normal.
It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, with a wood burner in the main room. The main thing is the view. You look right out over the bay from the front windows. There's a small private area out the front with a seat, which is nice when the weather's good.
Gardenstown is stacked up on a hill above the harbour. It's quiet. There are steps everywhere in the village, so you need to be okay with that. You can park in the public car area right outside, or find a spot on the street.
The beach and the harbour are basically on your doorstep. There's a pub and a place to eat a few minutes' walk away. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Macduff or Banff, which are about ten minutes away.
If you want to go out for the day, there's plenty. You're on the Moray Coastal Trail for walking. Duff House in Banff is an Historic Environment Scotland site. For castles, you've got Fyvie or Fraser about half an hour inland. Aberdeen is around 45 minutes drive if you need a city.
What's here: Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's a barbecue for the front area.
