This is Stable Cottage at Hole Farm. It's one of ours, on the farm where we live in Alderbury. It's just for two people. The main space is all open plan, so the kitchen, dining table, sofa, and the king-size bed are all in one room. The bathroom is separate and has a bath.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well looked after. The bed's good.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and the usual farm things. The cottage is next to our yard. It's properly rural, so phone signal isn't great. We get by with wifi calling.
There's a pub in the village, about five minutes' walk up the lane. They do food. For a bigger shop or more choice of places to eat, you'll need to drive into Salisbury, which is about ten minutes away.
Salisbury's the main thing here. The cathedral is worth seeing. The Old Sarum site is just outside the city. The New Forest is about a 25 minute drive south if you want to go for a walk or see the ponies.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, TV, parking right outside, and bedding and towels are provided. It's a no smoking cottage. No pets, sorry.
If you're looking for information on the area, the Visit Wiltshire site is useful. For the New Forest, check the National Park Authority site.
