Spire View Hut

This is the Spire View Hut in Alderbury, Wiltshire. It's a shepherd's hut in a field, with a view across to Salisbury Cathedral spire. You can see it from the decking. It's detached, so it's just you out there.

It sleeps two. One bedroom, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well done and comfortable. It's all on one level, so there are no steps inside. The entrance and some internal doorways are wheelchair accessible, but the terrain outside to the hot tub is a grassed field path, so that might be trickier depending on mobility.

It's got an open plan living space with a wood burner for cooler nights. There's a small kitchen area separate from the bedroom. Outside, there's a deck with a patio area, a barbecue, and a private hot tub. You get your own bit of the field to use.

The village pub is about a five minute walk away. For a bigger shop or other restaurants, you'd need to drive to Salisbury, which is about ten minutes.

Salisbury is the main thing to do locally. The cathedral is worth seeing. You're also about twenty minutes from the New Forest if you want walks or bike rides. Stonehenge is about a twenty-five minute drive. Thruxton race circuit is nearby if that's your sort of thing.

Facilities wise: bedding and towels are included, there's on-site parking, and you can bring one dog. There's a TV. The hot tub is private and for your use only.

If you're planning visits, these sites are useful: Salisbury Cathedral, English Heritage at Stonehenge, and The New Forest.
