Valley View Cottage is on our farm in Alderbury. It's a holiday let for two people. We call it a cottage but it's really more of a studio, with everything in one open plan room. The view is the main thing. The whole wall facing the valley is glass, so you see the fields from the sofa, the bed, or the kitchen table.
It has a 4 Star rating. There's one bathroom with a shower. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. The hot tub is outside on the patio, just for you.
A few things to know. The stairs up to the cottage are external and made of metal. They're fine, but can be noisy in the rain. Because it's a rural spot, mobile phone signal is poor. The Wi-Fi usually works alright.
The local village pub is about five minutes' walk away. They do food. The nearest shop is a drive, about three and a half miles to the Co-op in Whiteparish.
Salisbury is about a fifteen minute drive. The cathedral is there, and you can see the Magna Carta. It's good for shopping and eating out. The New Forest is about half an hour east. Stonehenge is about twenty minutes north. Thruxton racing circuit is nearby if that's your sort of thing.
We live on site, so we're here if you need anything. No pets allowed, sorry.
