Grey Gables Old Quarrington

Grey Gables is an old vicarage built in 1870. It's on a quiet lane in Old Quarrington, near Durham. The drive is gravel and the place is big, sleeps thirteen. It's got six bedrooms and two bathrooms.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The kitchen is large and has everything you need. There's a separate dining room and a living room with a wood burner. There's also a games room with a pool table.

Upstairs, the first floor has three bedrooms. One has a super king bed and a walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom on that floor is big, it has a free standing bath and a walk-in shower. The stairs go up to a second floor, which has three more bedrooms and another bathroom. The stairs are normal house stairs.

The top floor has been made into a games space for kids, with a console and a sofa. Two of the bedrooms up there are decorated with murals, one with superheroes and one with racing cars. There's also a single room.

Outside, there's about two acres of garden. There's a hot tub that fits six. We have stabling for horses if you want to bring yours, just ask us in advance. It's an extra cost.

You can bring up to three dogs. We ask that they stay in the kitchen and boot room on the ground floor.

Durham city centre is about five miles away. You've got the Castle and Cathedral, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For walks, the Durham Heritage Coast is about half an hour's drive. Beamish Museum is about twenty minutes away.

Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
