Brewery House Cottage

Brewery House Cottage is in Bishop Middleham, a quiet village about eight miles south of Durham. It's a semi-detached place, sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. It's done up nicely.

There are two pubs and a village shop about a minute's walk away. The pubs do food. A proper restaurant is a few miles drive.

The cottage has a woodburning stove, which is good for cooler evenings. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Parking is on site. We can take up to two dogs. There's a cot and a stairgate if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.

For getting out, there are public footpaths and cycle routes straight from the village into the countryside. Durham is a 15-20 minute drive. The cathedral and castle are the main things to see. There's a theatre and a leisure centre there too. Bishop Auckland, with Auckland Castle, is close by.

Within half an hour you can get to the North Pennines or the coast at places like Seaham. For planning, these sites are useful: Durham Council Countryside pages and This is Durham.
