Abigails Cottage is in Deaf Hill, County Durham. It's detached, up a long farm driveway. It's very rural. The garden is lawned, with a koi carp pond. It's shared with us, the owners, who live on site, but you have a private patio area to yourselves. There are horses in the paddocks behind the cottage, so they might come say hello at the window.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, all on one level. The layout is designed for wheelchair users. Doorways are wide, there's a ramp at the entrance if you need it, and there are walk-in showers. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The living room has a wood burner. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
You're well placed for exploring. Durham city is about eight miles away. The Cathedral and Castle are a UNESCO site and worth the trip. Seaham and the Durham coast are about fifteen minutes by car. For a proper day out, Beamish Museum is roughly half an hour's drive.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
