Abigails Cottage is in Deaf Hill, County Durham. It's a detached cottage at the end of a long driveway, set back from the road. The garden is large and mostly lawn, with a big koi pond. The owners live nearby and sometimes use the garden too, but you get your own private patio area. There are horses in the paddocks behind the cottage.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's all on one level, with wide doorframes and a ramp to the front door. It's designed to be wheelchair accessible. The rating is 4 Star.
Inside, the living room is bright with a wood burner. The kitchen has everything you need. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed and looks out over the paddock. The second bedroom has twin beds and its own walk-in shower. There's also a family bathroom with a bath and another shower.
Location wise, it's rural but the main roads are close. The Durham coast is about half an hour's drive. Seaham beach is the closest. Beamish Museum is roughly 20 miles away, so about a 30 minute drive. Durham city centre is about 8 miles. The cathedral and castle are a UNESCO site. There's a theatre, restaurants, and shops there.
For facilities: there's on-site parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are available. No pets.
