Hazel Cottage is near Peterlee in County Durham. It's a bungalow, so it's all on one level. That makes it good for people who don't want stairs.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's a decent, comfortable place.
The living area is open-plan with wooden floors. There's underfloor heating, which is very nice in the winter. French doors open out to a fenced patio area. You look out over fields.
It's set in a big bit of land, about 18 acres. There are two other cottages here owned by the same people. You can book them together if you have a bigger group.
There's a local pub and restaurant about a mile away. The nearest proper shop is two miles. The coast at Seaham is about a fifteen minute drive. That's the Durham Heritage Coast.
Durham city is about ten miles away. The cathedral and castle are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There's a theatre, markets, and plenty of places to eat.
Other things within about half an hour's drive: Beamish Museum is very good for a day out. The Angel of the North is that way, too. Newcastle and the Metro Centre are about 45 minutes by car.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking. A cot and highchair are available. Bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. No pets, I'm afraid.
