Kestral Cottage
Kestrel Cottage is out near Peterlee. It's part of a small group of three cottages on the owner's land. You get your own fenced patio area.
It’s a bungalow, all on one level. Two bedrooms, sleeps four, one bathroom which is a wet room. It’s got a 4 Star rating. The floors are wooden and there’s underfloor heating. French doors open out from the living area.
The view is over fields. It’s quiet. The ground is flat so it's suitable if you need wheelchair access or just don't want stairs.
There’s a local pub about a mile away. The shop is two miles. The coast is about a 15-minute drive, places like Seaham beach. You can walk it in a couple of hours if you’re up for it.
Durham city is 10 miles away. You've got the castle and cathedral there, and plenty of places to eat. The Durham County Council website has visitor information.
Within half an hour you can get to the Angel of the North, or Beamish Museum. Newcastle is about 45 minutes by car.
Facilities: parking right outside, WiFi, washing machine, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
