Swinton Mill Farm Cottage Swintonmill

Swinton Mill Farm Cottage is near Coldstream in the Scottish Borders. It's a terraced stone cottage on one level of what was a farm steading.

It sleeps five. Two bedrooms, one upstairs and one down. The upstairs one has a super king bed. The downstairs one has three singles, which is handy if you don't want the stairs. There are two shower rooms, one on each floor. The rating is 4 Star.

You get the garden to yourselves. It's enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or children. There's a wood burner in the sitting room. The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a utility room with a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. WiFi is there but it's the countryside, so it's functional.

It's a rural spot. You can walk from the door along the river or into the fields. Coldstream is a couple of miles away for shops and a few places to eat. The Hirsel Estate is there for walks. Floors Castle in Kelso and Melrose Abbey are about a twenty minute drive. The Cheviot Hills are close if you want proper walking.

For fishing, the River Tweed is right there. There are several golf courses nearby, including one at The Hirsel.

You can bring dogs. Up to three.
